The Port of la Selva
The Port de la Selva Nautical Club is located in the town of Port de la Selva, a typical fishing village that has grown up under the protection of its natural port. Port de la Selva stands out for its white houses, which so close to each other seem to seek the shelter of the Tramuntana and which are an excellent example of popular architecture, contrasting with the intense blue of the sea, and with the extraordinary landscape beauty of its mountains, where the green of the vineyards combine with the silvery gray of the olive trees. It is not surprising that prestigious painters and writers of the country have expressed everywhere the splendor of the area in which they seek the solitude of these places for rest and inspiration.
SITUATION
Located in the bay of Port de la Selva, north of Cap de Creus Natural Park at 42º 20’2 N – 03º 11’9 E, the Nautical Club it has 304 mooring points between 6 and 12 meters long, protected by a dyke from the North winds, even though when the West wind blows, it comes down the mountains in which the monastery is located of Sant Pere de Rodes, affects with great intensity the port facilities and the characteristic landscape of the Cap de Creus massif, rough and with little vegetation due to the virulence of the prevailing winds, with cliffs, rocks, islets and reefs, coves and bays.
In addition, the nature of the seabed, of rock and sediments, offers a wide diversity of habitats for marine organisms. This diversity results in an extraordinary aquatic flora, the best examples of which are the posidonia meadows and coral reefs.

by sea
You can arrive by sea, with your boat.

Conventional: The nearest train stations are Llançà (8 km), Figueres (30 km) and Portbou (20 km).

High speed: the nearest station is Figueres-Vilafant (30 km).

There is a regular passenger transport line by road that connects the municipality of Port de la Selva with Figueres and other municipalities in the region.
