The club

The Club Nàutic Port de la Selva, located in the north of the Natural Park of Cap de Creus, is a modern and sheltered marina where you can enjoy all the activities and services necessary to make the most of your holidays or time leisure in general, in addition to practicing in optimal conditions sports such as sailing, diving, kayaking, water skiing, windsurfing, fishing.

The Club has 308 moorings for lengths from 6 to 12 meters, with water and electricity connections, sanitary facilities with showers, bar restaurant, swimming pool, crane for boats up to 12 tons, ramp for light sailing, fuels, escar, social building, sailing school recognized by the Catalan Sailing Federation and swimming school.

Since 1998, the Port de la Selva Nautical Club has flown the Blue Flag that distinguishes the Club as the BLUE PORT of EUROPE.

He Port de la Selva Nautical Club works, specifically, for effective and real equality between women and men and that is why, with this statement; is reaffirmed in the commitment to establish and develop policies that integrate equal treatment and opportunities between women and men, without discriminating directly or indirectly on the basis of sex, as well as to promote and encourage measures that allow the achievement of real equality in the scope of the organization.

Equal opportunities between women and men is a strategic principle of our Management Policy, in accordance with the definition of the principle established by Organic Law 3/2007, of March 22 and Law 17/2015, of 21 of July of effective equality between women and men and as a universal right recognized in all democratic societies.

In each and every area where the Club's activity is carried out, from selection, to promotion, through salary policy, training, working and employment conditions, occupational health, organization of time work and reconciliation, we assume the principle of equal opportunities between women and men, placing special emphasis on indirect discrimination, understanding this as the situation where an apparently neutral provision, criterion or practice puts a person of one sex in particular disadvantage in relation to people of the other sex.

We declare our commitment to establish and develop the necessary measures to achieve equal treatment and opportunities between women and men, promoting equality actions, both corrective and positive, as well as promoting and encouraging actions to achieve equality within of the Club, achieving a balanced participation and establishing the monitoring systems that allow compliance with this declaration and progress in the achievement of real equality between women and men, and by extension, of society as a whole.

The Club Nàutic Port de la Selva has as a guideline within the provision of Sports Club services, to make economic development compatible with criteria of sustainability, social responsibility and the development of its work with high quality, safety and work ethics.

The Club Management, with the adoption of this Policy, expresses its commitment to:

  • Guarantee compliance with the legal requirements, the voluntarily subscribed requirements and apply them in the planning of the actions.
  • Periodically and systematically review the actions in order to make an assessment and establish new concrete and quantifiable objectives that involve continuous improvement of the integrated management system, enhancing awareness of the strategic importance of the Management System, as a key element of the competitiveness and guarantee of the Club's future.
  • Ensure the sustainability and minimization of the environmental impact of the activities in accordance with the following lines of action:
    • The establishment of goals and milestones and the application of specific programs in line with the sustainable development goals published by the UN.
    • Apply criteria for prevention, control and fight against pollution.
    • Savings, sustainable use of resources and protection of the environment.
    • Waste reduction and recycling.
    • Education and promotion of the environmental management system.
    • Mitigation and adaptation to climate change and reduction of the carbon footprint.
    • Collaborate with the different administrations, NGOs, public and private bodies in the search for more global solutions to environmental problems.
  • Maintain constant communication, to detect the needs and satisfaction of the interested parties, with the aim of carrying out the services in such a way that the agreed expectations are met and to be able to go beyond the strict compliance with their requirements, identifying new expectations and getting ahead of them.
  • Apply the principle of prevention from the planning and evaluation of decisions.
  • Provide action procedures to the people or user entities on environmental aspects and improving the quality of port services.
  • Periodically publish the program of actions and the results obtained while establishing a participation and communication mechanism.
  • Promote the permanent training and awareness of the own staff and those who work on behalf of the entity in order to improve the provision of the service, at the same time as enhancing their creativity, the ability to work in a team and the innovative spirit .
  • Respect people and the contribution to their personal and professional development in a way that is compatible with the resources and conditions of the Club, as well as the promotion of teamwork.
  • Develop the activities in a way that does not endanger the health and safety of its workers and anyone who carries out work within the Club's facilities, providing the resources available to them, in order to avoid occupational diseases and damages to third parties.
  • Promote women's access to employment and the elimination of situations of discrimination in their working conditions.
  • Recognize the right to reconcile personal and work life, and encourage greater co-responsibility between men and women in assuming family obligations.
  • The Club Management will ensure compliance with this Policy, will disseminate it among all Club staff and interested parties, will provide all the means, human and financial, at their disposal to facilitate its compliance.

The Club is highly committed to the ethical and legal development of its activities, which is why it makes available to all interested parties (members, users, managers, workers, suppliers, etc.) this policy as well as the code of ethics and of conduct of the Port de la Selva Nautical Club. In this sense, the complaint channel is made available through email nautic@cnps.cat where all parties can be addressed.

This policy will be reviewed every time it is necessary in order to ensure continued adequacy to the needs and purposes of the entity, while serving as a basis for the establishment of the annual planning of objectives
